How It Works
MimoSteps makes communication support and everyday learning accessible, consistent and easy to use across home, school and therapeutic settings.

Here's how MimoSteps supports children every day
Sign in and get started
After signing in, parents and professionals can access a range of carefully designed learning areas that support communication, understanding, emotional development, attention and independence.
Guided by Mimo
Children are guided through activities by Mimo, our friendly bear, who provides a familiar and predictable experience throughout the platform.
Flexible and child-led
The platform is designed to be flexible. Children can explore activities at their own pace, revisit familiar content and practise skills through repetition. There is no requirement to complete activities in a particular order, allowing adults to choose what is most relevant for the child’s current needs.
Consistency across every setting
Consistency is at the heart of MimoSteps. The same approaches, visual supports and communication strategies can be used by parents, teachers, teaching assistants and therapists, helping children transfer skills across different environments.
Track progress with confidence
MimoSteps includes a Progress Tracker. Parents and professionals can regularly review key developmental areas and monitor small but meaningful steps in communication, attention, understanding and self-regulation. The focus is not on comparing children, but on recognising individual progress over time.
Built on experience, designed for impact
MimoSteps has been developed from real-world experience supporting autistic children and children with communication differences. The platform combines practical strategies, visual learning and engaging activities within a calm and child-friendly environment.
